Treat the Man, not the Scan!

Asymptomatic Subjects with Abnormal Spinal Findings

I have seen many clients from as young as 20+ to as old as 90+. Most of them would see me for a disc prolapse or for spondylosis. The fact is all of us go through some degeneration as we age and what is shown on the scan might not be the true cause of pain. I would normally correlate all my clinical findings with the imaging and that would give me a better impression of what is the cause of pain. My clients are also advised to be less engrossed with what they see on the scan because the thought of something is wrong with their body can greatly affect their rehabilitation progress.
